DPS investigates child porn complaint

Department of Public Safety officials are “investigating a complaint” about computer-related child pornography in Welch Hall.

DPS officials executed a search warrant in the men’s residence hall last week and seized computer equipment.

DPS Capt. Gene Deisinger said little information is being released about the circumstances of the case, and he does not know when any arrests will be made.

“We have to wait and see what comes out of the investigation,” Deisinger said. “The general nature of the case is very sensitive. We have to make sure we’re being very careful and very thorough.”
