Bissell Road to be closed for summer
In order to accommodate Hoover Hall construction, Bissell Road, which runs north-south from State Gym to the Communications Building, will be closed for most of the summer. The road will reopen in early August.
The suggested detour is Sheldon Avenue, one block to the west.
The closing will provide workers with time to construct a pedestrian overpass that will connect Hoover Hall to Howe Hall, as well as installing underground utilities.
For more information, refer to the official university release at http:// www.iastate.edu/news/today/2002/apr/Bissell.shtml.
