After reading Michelle Kann’s “Get Ready for Rachel Scott Barbie” a serious inconsistency becomes clear. She implies that the motive behind Darrell Scott’s free lecture was to make money from the death of his daughter. The Web site racheljoyscott.com states that all proceeds go to the Rachel Joy Scott Memorial Fund, which supports higher education, youth ministries and forensic programs. How is Scott’s video any different from a NYPD cap? Kann would have a point if the money was going into Scott’s pocket, but just like the cap supporting the New York police, the money made goes to legitimate causes.
