Faculty Senate to discuss motions about two buildings
The Faculty Senate is meeting Tuesday from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. in 260 Scheman.
Items on the agenda include special orders in which the senate will discuss a response to the Budget Crisis Task Force motion and a motion to endorse efforts to save Morrill Hall as a historic structure.
In old business, the senate will discuss whether to rescind the name of the Martin Jischke Honors Building and a set of principles for student evaluation of teaching that was brought to the senate by the Academic Affairs Council.

President of Planned Parenthood to speak in Des Moines
The president of Planned Parenthood of America will speak Tuesday about the role of community leaders in responsible reproductive policy.
Gloria Feldt, president of Planned Parenthood, will speak at 2:30 p.m. in Salon C of the Des Moines Marriott, 700 Grand Ave.
Feldt will also address the core influence and impact of volunteer and elected leaders in shaping state and federal health legislation.
She is visiting Iowa as part of a fund-raiser for the political action committee of Planned Parenthood of Greater Iowa. The event will also honor retiring pro-choice Iowa legislators.
