Soccer tournament to be this weekend
Students will have the opportunity to showcase their soccer skills this weekend at the World Soccer Tournament.
The event will officially begin with the opening ceremony Friday evening. It will include traditional performances from cultures around the world, ranging from Scottish dancing to an Indonesian rock band.
The opening ceremony will be in MacKay 117 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.; the event is free and open to the public.
The soccer competition will run from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Lied Recreation Center.
The tournament is sponsored by International Education Services.
