Welle on All-Big 12 Tournament Team

ISU center Angie Welle, above, was named to the All-Big 12 Tournament Team as she led the Cyclones to wins over Nebraska and Colorado before Iowa State fell to Baylor in the semifinals.
Welle recorded a double-double in each of her three games. She scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a 74-55 win over Nebraska. She knocked in 23 points, including the winning lay-up, and pulled down 15 boards in a 58-56 triumph over Colorado.
Welle finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds in the 91-83 loss to Baylor.
Stacey Dales and Dionnah Jackson from Big 12 tournament champion Oklahoma, Sheila Lambert and Danielle Crockrom from Baylor and Kendra Wecker from Kansas State all joined Welle.
Dales, who led the Sooners in an 84-69 win over Baylor in the final, was named tournament’s most valuable player.
