Lovett injured in attack by bull

Singer Lyle Lovett underwent surgery to reconstruct his leg after he was attacked by a bull Saturday. Twenty pieces of bone – including nine major bone fragments – in Lovett’s leg were broken and had to be pieced back together.

He is in good condition, according to a spokesperson at Memorial Hermann Hospital. It is expected to take him six months to fully recover.

Lovett was trampled by the bull when he tried to assist his 67-year-old uncle, who had been flipped off of the bull.

Billy Wilder dies of pneumonia at 95

One of Hollywood’s most recognized writer/directors, Billy Wilder, 95, died of pneumonia Wednesday at his home in Beverly Hills.

He is best known for his work on “Some Like It Hot,” “Sunset Boulevard” and “Double Indemnity.”

Dudley Moore dies at age 66

Oscar nominated actor Dudley Moore died of a rare brain disorder at his New Jersey home. A memorial is in the works for New York City. Private services are also being planned. Moore was 66.

Britney decides on restaurant name

Britney Spears is opening a restaurant in Manhattan, and she has decided to name it Nyla – a combination of New York and her home state of Louisiana. She had previously announced she would name the restaurant Pinkey, her former beau Justin Timberlake’s pet name for her.
