Only the Daily would stoop so low as to fire three innocent editors due to a clearly satirical piece published by your competitor, Toons. You have not only opened the Daily to yet another lawsuit, but you have insulted the intelligence of your readership. The Daily is meant to be a timely source of news for Iowa State, while Toons is clearly a source for humor.

Laughter and lampooning is how Richard Lem of Toons makes a living, and his readers know that the Daily should worry about reporting the news, not making it. Long live the First Amendment and the unalienable right to make an ass of yourself; just don’t do it if you work for the Iowa State Daily.
