Students for Youth Day this Saturday

The ISU chapter of the Golden Key International Honour Society is sponsoring University Students for Youth Day from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Boys and Girls Club of Ames.

All Golden Key members are encouraged to meet at the club, 210 S. Fifth St., to play games with the kids.

Peace Network sponsors student workshop

The Iowa Peace Network is sponsoring a workshop for people in positions to counsel young people of draftable age.

Students are invited to attend the workshop, which will feature Mario Hardy from the Central Committee for Conscientious Objectors. Hardy will speak about over-conscientious objection, how to counter military recruitment and other topics.

The workshop will be held at Collegiate United Methodist Church, 2622 W. Lincoln Way. There is no fee for the workshop, but donations will be accepted.
