Stem cell research, ethics lecture today
Robert Streiffer, professor at the University of Wisconsin, will speak on ethical issues surrounding stem cell research today at noon in the Pioneer Room of the Memorial Union. This presentation comes on the heels of last week’s “Stem Cell Research at Iowa State.”
Streiffer, author of “Moral Relativism and Reasons for Action,” works with a group of ISU faculty on a USDA grant to expand and enrich the discussion of the ethical dimensions of agricultural biotechnology.
His research interests include ethical theory, political philosophy and applied ethics.
