DPS charges students with having false IDs

Department of Public Safety officials have charged about 25 ISU students with possession of false identification.

Felony forgery charges are pending against another ISU student, said DPS Capt. Gene Deisinger.

Deisinger said investigators are in the process of applying for an arrest warrant, and he’s not sure how soon the warrant will be obtained.

The unnamed student is suspected of producing and selling fake driver’s licenses from his Wallace Hall room.

DPS officials found computer and digital camera equipment during a search with a warrant in Wallace about a week ago.
