I feel the decision to fire the three editors was a good one by Ms. Hauser. The editors should be professionals when it comes to representing the Daily. Making jokes could make the Daily look like a non-professional publication. I personally enjoy reading the Daily because it keeps students informed about Iowa State and important issues facing students. If the staff feels that joking about the Daily or their position is appropriate, why not change the format of the Daily to resemble Toons. As for the three that got fired, a second chance is OK, but a policy should be made to define what should happen if this kind of thing happens in the future.
