Giuliani focus of new TV movie

USA Network is planning to create a made-for-TV movie about the life of former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani. The two-hour flick will be based on the book “Rudy!” by Wayne Barrett. No word yet on when the movie will hit the screen.

Jane’s Addiction in the studio again

Rock band Jane’s Addiction is headed to the studio in March for the first time in over a decade. So far few details about the record are being released. The band’s last album, “Ritual do lo Habitual,” which included popular hits “Been Caught Stealing” and “Stop” came out in 1990. The record climbed to No. 19.

There are also unconfirmed rumors that Jane’s Addiction may play Lollapalooza this summer as well.

Tommy Lee sued in child’s death

Former M”tley Cre drummer Tommy Lee has been sued for wrongful death and negligence after a child died in a swimming pool at his Malibu home.

Four-year-old Daniel Karven-Veres, son of actress Ursula Karven and TV producer James Veres, drowned last June when he was attending a birthday party for one of Lee’s sons. Authorities said the incident was an accident.

Karven and Veres are seeking general and special damages and attorney fees.

All-star lineup for California festival

The third Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, which is scheduled for April 27 through 28 in Indio, Calif., will feature, among others, Bj”rk, Oasis, the Foo Fighters, The Strokes, the Beta Band, the Charlatans U.K., Elbow, Zero 7, Pete Yorn, Cake, Pharcyde, KRS-One, Cornershop, BT, Saves The Day, Blonde Redhead, Cut Chemist, the Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Paul Oakenfold and Mos Def. Tickets go on sale March 2 via Ticketmaster.
