Chuck D to speak about music industry
Rap artist Chuck D, the keynote speaker for “The Business of Music” lecture series, will speak about changes in the music industry at 8 p.m. tonight in Stephens Auditorium.
Chuck D is the leader and co-founder of rap group Public Enemy. He has hosted his own segment on the Fox News Channel, worked with music industry non-profit organizations MusicCares and Rock The Vote, and started the record label Slamjamz.
The Institute on National Affairs lecture is free and open to the public.

Forum to discuss stem cell research today
Stem cell research at Iowa State will be discussed during a forum at noon today in the Sun Room of the Memorial Union.
The discussion will be led by Don Sakaguchi, associate professor of zoology and genetics, and Surya Mallapragada, associate professor of chemical engineering.
Sakaguchi participated in the International Bioethics Institute in Lisbon, Portugal, in the summer of 2000. Mallapragada’s research interests include micro- and nano-patterned surfaces for nerve regeneration and mammary tissue regeneration.
The forum is free and open to the public.
