Graduate Student Senate elects president

The Graduate Student Senate unanimously elected a new president at its meeting this week.

GSS Vice President Dee Egdorf was elected at the meeting Monday. She will take over presidential duties in May.

Job market videoconference Thursday

Iowa State is taking part in a nationwide videoconference, “Tapping the Hidden Job Market,” at 5 p.m. Thursday in the Campanile Room of the Memorial Union.

Donald Asher, contributing writer to Managing Your Career and Wall Street Journal’s National Business Employment Weekly magazines, will be speaking on converting an informational interview into a job interview and other subjects.

The conference is being presented by Career Services at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

Financial aid application deadline Friday

The Free Application for Student Aid priority deadline for the 2002-2003 school year is Friday.

Forms will be accepted until June 1, but those submitted after Friday will be eligible for fewer aid programs.

The FAFSA application is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov or in the Financial Aid Office in 0210 Beardshear Hall.
