MTV to host Colin Powell
MTV has announced that Secretary of State Colin Powell will appear on the station and field questions in a town hall format. Young people will be given the chance to ask the Secretary of State questions about the war on terrorism.
Cage’s car recovered
Actor Nicolas Cage’s car was discovered submerged in the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. The $100,000 Porsche was stolen on Dec. 25. A suspect, whose name is not yet being released, is facing grand theft charges.
U2, Keys preform at Grammys
Two of the acts performing at the 44th Grammy Awards will be U2 and Alicia Keyes, because they are “emblematic of the diversity and limitless talent of our nominees and the powerful music that they create,” said Recording Academy President and CEO Michael Greene in a statement.
Confirmed presenters include Janet Jackson, Britney Spears and Diana Krall. Comedian Jon Stewart will host the event.
U2 and Keyes nabbed eight and six Grammy nominations, respectively.
