Dido’s nomination revoked

British pop sensation Dido, best known for her hit “Thank You,” was dropped from the list of best newcomer nominees for the annual Brit Awards.

Spokespeople for the Brit Awards say they realized that Dido is not as new as they thought; she was nominated for best female artist last year.

The Brit Awards are England’s equivalent of the Grammys. The program is scheduled for Feb. 20 in London.

Dido still retains nominations for best video and best female solo artist. She said she understood the mistake and thought it was “quite funny.”

Ozzy, family appear in reality show

MTV is set to take reality TV to an entirely new level this spring. On March 5 at 9:30 p.m., a new reality program featuring Ozzy Osbourne, his wife Sharon and two of his three teenage children, will air on the network.

The Osbournes apparently allowed MTV cameras to film almost every aspect of their lives, including dealing with neighbors, moving into a new home, dealing with daughter Kelly’s new tattoo and the death of the family cat.

Six to eight episodes will be filmed at first; later episodes will be added depending on the program’s success.

Psychedelic Furs material reissued

The first three studio albums from British group the Psychedelic Furs will be repackaged, with bonus tracks and unreleased material added.

The albums included are “The Psychedelic Furs,” “Talk Talk Talk” and “Forever Now.”

The albums will also include liner notes by author Tony Fletcher, who has written biographies of R.E.M., Keith Moon and Echo & The Bunnymen.
