Sonic Youth plans reissue, new album

Sonic Youth has a lot on its plate for this spring. The band will re-release “Dirty,” “Goo” and “Daydream Nation” as double-discs.

Three Sonic Youth videos will also be re-issued as DVDs.

The band’s newest album for its label, DGC, is still in the works. As if this weren’t enough, an April release is scheduled for “SYR 6,” a project the band undertook in spring of 2000 with French musicians Brigitte Fontaine and Areski.
