Congratulations to Jerry Stewart for being named the new director for ISU DPS.

More importantly, the leadership of ISU deserves commendation for making an excellent decision for securing the university’s future in public safety.

Jerry is a top-notch law enforcement official, who expects nothing but a top-notch performance from his subordinates at ISU DPS. Lucky for him, he need not worry about that aspect.

His subordinates are very well-qualified and capable law enforcement officers and ISU should be proud of the men and women of DPS and their willingness to serve the academic community.

As an ISU alumni, and someone who has the privilege of knowing Jerry Stewart, I can’t express enough how pleased I am that Jerry was placed at the top, as he should be.
