Joey Ramone solo album due Feb. 19

“Don’t Worry About Me,” the only album recorded by deceased punk icon Joey Ramone, will be released Feb. 19, according to his label, Sanctuary Records.

On Dec. 18, a two-track single, including “Merry Christmas (I Don’t Want to Fight Tonight)” and “Couldn’t Sleep Last Night” will be released.

Included on the album is a cover of Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World” and “1969” by the Stooges.

Guest appearances from the Misfits’ Jerry Only and Dr. Chud, the Dictators’ Andy Shernoff and Joey Ramone’s brother Mickey Leigh are sprinkled throughout the record.

Ramone reportedly worked on the album from the demise of the Ramones in 1996 until his death earlier this year.

`Orange County’ album out soon

The soundtrack for “Orange County,” an MTV film produced in conjunction with Paramount Pictures, will feature songs by Crazy Town, Lit, Social Distortion, Cake, Brian Wilson, Pete Yorn, Creeper Lagoon, Offspring and Foo Fighters. The movie itself stars Tenacious D’s Jack Black and is scheduled to hit the big screen Jan. 11.

The first issues of the soundtrack with include a bonus disc with four extra songs.
