Contrary to what the article “Tide rolls into Independence Bowl against Iowa State” (Dec. 10) says, the Tide has 12, not 10 national championships – 1925, ’26, ’30, ’34, ’41, ’61, ’64, ’65, ’73, ’78, ’79, and 1992. Also, this year’s Independence Bowl marks our 51st bowl appearance, which is tops in the nation. And we have 28 bowl wins – also most in the nation.
