Ludacris’ newest album on its way to being `classic’
December 5, 2001
Ludacris is back, but not for the first or last time. Luda, also known as Chris or Mr. Luva Luva, has gained the attention of both fans and critics since the release of his first album “Back For the First Time.” His sophomore album, “Word of Mouf” has proven that the Atlanta rapper is here to stay.
The first single, “Rollout (My Business),” is already topping the charts. The album also contains the summer jam “Area Codes” featuring Nate Dogg.
Twista, Jagged Edge, Mystikal, and Three 6 Mafia are just a few of the artists who helped contribute to the album.
Every song on the album offers something different for the listener.
Using a variety of slow and fast beats, Ludacris shows his wide range of verbal skills.
He also comes up with humorous lines like “Put your belly on a plate/ and watch your weight/ your frosted like a flake and Ludacris feels gggrrreeaaat.”
With his unique sound and crazy skills, who knows what Ludacris will come up with next. But for now just enjoy what he has given us.
There is no doubt “Word of Mouf” is destined to be a classic, so go pick it up.
After all, it would be truly ludicrous not to.
