Attorney recommends probation for Robb

An ISU female student who admitted she lied about being kidnapped and raped by four men may not serve any time in jail or pay a fine if a judge accepts a recommendation by the Story County attorney.

County Attorney Stephen Holmes recommended Katie Robb, sophomore in journalism and mass communication, receive one year of probation, psychiatric evaluation, participation in recommended treatment and 100 hours of community service, according to court documents.

Holmes declined to comment on the case before Robb is sentenced.

The sentencing hearing is scheduled for Jan. 7 at 9:30 a.m. at the Story County Courthouse in Nevada.

Robb pleaded guilty on Oct. 25 to “knowingly reporting false information concerning a felony to a law enforcement authority.”
