Professor to speak on human rights

Maimul Khan, a visiting professor at the University of Illinois College of Law, will speak about “Human Rights in Afghanistan: Ramifications for Neighboring Muslim Countries.”

The lecture starts at 8 p.m. in the Maintenance Shop of the Memorial Union. The event is free and open to the public.

Workshop to give study abroad info

The Study Abroad Predeparture Express will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in 102 Hamilton Hall Wednesday and Thursday.

The workshop covers the practical side of travel, such as accommodations, finances, packing, safety and transportation, as well as cultural differences, culture shock and intercultural communication for students going abroad Spring 2002.
