G. Love tickets on sale Monday

G. Love and Special Sauce will perform a concert at Parents Hall at Drake University at 8 p.m. on Nov. 5.

Tickets for the show cost $8 and go on sale Monday at 9 a.m. at Peeples Music, 303 Welch Ave.

There is a ticket limit of four per person.

Radiohead wins at Britain’s Q Awards

Radiohead was voted the World’s Best Band by readers of England’s Q magazine. The experimental rock group was up against Travis, Stereophonics, R.E.M., U2 and Manic Street Preachers for the award at the Q Music Awards.

Former Sex Pistol John Lydon, a.k.a. Johnny Rotten, was another Q winner.

He took home the Inspiration Award for his contributions to music.

Upon receiving the prize, Lydon said, “Who wants this? Because it doesn’t mean anything to me.”

Cash hospitalized for bronchitis

Johnny Cash entered a Nashville hospital this week with a case of bronchitis.

This is the second time this month the 66-year-old music legend has been hospitalized for bronchitis.

Doctors expect Cash to recover quickly.

Pilots to release Beatles cover tune

The Stone Temple Pilots has recorded a cover of “Revolution” by the Beatles.

The CD single, which was produced by STP and recorded in New York, will be released Nov. 27.

Proceeds from the single will benefit victims of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.
