IRHA to hold benefit concert
The Inter-Residence Hall Association is sponsoring a benefit concert Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is $2 and all proceeds will go to children affected by the events of Sept. 11. Bands will be playing at the Maple-Willow-Larch Commons, the Knapp-Storms Commons and the Friley Terrace Room. A shuttle bus will run between the three sites throughout the duration of the event. The following is a list of bands playing at each residence association:
Maple-Willow-Larch Commons: Argos, 8 Miles Out and Keepers of the Carpet
Knapp-Storms Commons: Nundown, Hog Mallet, Max Power and Mechanistry
Terrace Room: Twistin Trees, Saving Andy Bell, The Rock Band and Little Mojo

ABC to air `Saving Private Ryan’
After much deliberation, ABC has decided to broadcast the TV premiere of the combat drama movie “Saving Private Ryan” in its entirety, despite a gruesome opening battle scene. The scene shows soldiers being attacked on the beach of Normandy.
Strong viewer cautions will be aired before the movie, according to ABC. “Saving Private Ryan” will air Sunday at 7 p.m.
Jackson’s latest album hits No. 1
“Invincible,” the newest effort from Michael Jackson, sold over 366,000 copies last week, which made it the top-selling album in the country.
