In response to the “In Our Opinion” editorial on Oct. 4, go ahead and claim “There’s nothing more American than the right to free speech.”

I don’t care what you say about abridging freedom of expression. Bill Maher’s statement calling the United States Military “cowards” was simply ill timed and completely tasteless.

And for you to write and support him in his statements just shows how much taste you lack as well.

It’s getting really hard to understand Bill Maher’s frequent apologies through his foot in his mouth.

This is not the first time he has shown his lack of taste. I remember him referring to former President Ronald Reagan, who is afflicted with Alzheimers, as “nuts.”

Bill Maher clearly isn’t understanding that being an extremist is hurting his cause, and “Politically Incorrect” is getting dropped by many ABC affiliates. Hopefully ABC will fire him.
