Stones plan 40th anniversary tour

In honor of their upcoming 40th anniversary, a tour is in the works for the Rolling Stones, which formed in London in 1962.

The Stones are also planning to record an album after the tour is finished.

There is no word on when the tour will start and which cities it will hit.

Olsen twins record new Weezer tune

Twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, of “Full House” fame, will cover Weezer’s “Island in the Sun” with the band Empty Trash.

“Island in the Sun” is the second single released from Weezer’s latest effort, referred to as “The Green Album.”

The tune will be included on the Olsen’s new flick “Holiday in the Sun.”

The soundtrack is due out mid-November.

Kozelek to release double vinyl set

Mark Kozelek of the softcore band Red House Painters will release “If You Want Blood,” a 12-inch double vinyl package next month.

The package will include both of Kozelek’s solo albums, 2000’s “Rock `N’ Roll Singer” and this year’s “What’s Next to the Moon.” The set also includes two live tracks.

Kozelek will play a five-date U.S. tour in November.
