Four bands to play Saturdays Rock
Patrick Fleming-fronted Poison Control Center headlines this weekend’s rock show at the Boheme, 2900 West St. The show, open to all ages, will start at 6 p.m. with Hogmallet, followed by Hook Echo and Down and Above. Cost is $6.
Snoop Dogg busted for pot
Police pulled two of Snoop Dogg’s tour buses over for speeding Wednesday. After a search of the buses revealed marijuana, the rapper was charged with possession.
Johnny Depp goes to trial
Actor Johnny Depp is scheduled to appear in a Los Angeles court today for allegedly channeling funds from his club, The Viper Room, into his personal account. Depp’s former business partner brought the suit against him.
MTV may ban Jay-Z’s videos
After Jay-Z recently pled guilty to stabbing a record executive, MTV head honcho Judy McGrath is considering banning the rapper’s music videos from TV play.
Jay-Z admitted to stabbing producer Lance Rivera outside a Manhattan night club on Dec. 2, 1999.
According to the Manhattan district attorney’s office, the rapper is likely to be sentenced to three years probation for third-degree assault.
