AC/DC releases concert DVD
A live DVD called “Stiff Upper Lip Live” is in the works for hard rockers AC/DC. The DVD will include 21 songs and other special features, such as interviews with the band and behind-the-scenes concert footage.
It was recorded live in Munich in October during the band’s “Stiff Upper Lip Tour.”
R.E.M.’s Buck to stand trial
Peter Buck of R.E.M. will face trial Nov. 12 after an incident on a British Airways flight. The guitarist was charged for being drunk on the flight and assaulting two crew members, as well as various other charges.
Hollywood hits four-year low
Many sectors of the entertainment world are claiming this year is their worst in four years, according to the Entertainment Industry Development Corporation.
The production arms in Hollywood TV, movie and commercial industries are citing the falling economy, the Sept. 11 attacks and the early completion of many projects because of threats of worker strikes as the reason for the slowdown in entertainment production.
