IRHA to vote on bill to ban smoking

The Inter-Residence Hall Association will vote tonight on a bill to ban smoking in all residence halls beginning Fall 2002.

The vote originally was scheduled for last week’s meeting but was postponed until tonight to give representatives more time to consider the ban.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Maple-Willow-Larch conference room.

Reservations due for pre-game lunch

Reservations are due Friday for the ISU Alumni Association pre-game lunch before the Oct. 27 Iowa State-Texas A&M football game.

The lunch, which includes a Texas barbecue, dessert and beverages, will be at The Grove, northwest of Kyle Field on Wellborn Road.

Reservations can be made by calling 294-4557. Cost is $12/person for Alumni Association members and $15/person for non-members.
