God’s been out of U.S. for a while

Mark Snyder

We’ve been asking where God was on Sept. 11. This question automatically conveys the thought that this tragedy was somehow God’s fault. This is the same God we kicked out of public schools. The same God who gave us the Ten Commandments that we threw out of our schools and courtrooms. The same God that we won’t let be a part of our government. So how can ask where God is?

God is not a doting grandfather who looks down on us and lets everything just happen while he smiles with acceptance. Choices have consequences. We are what we are because we have chosen that path.

Consider this, God’s wrath is your choice. If you rebel against God you reap his wrath. But if you accept Christ and follow His teachings then you incur His blessings. Now which of these two choices do you think that America, as a majority, has made in the past few decades?

The one positive that I can find in this horrible tragedy is the fact that this nation has a renewed sense of patriotism and has turned to God in repentance.

If this continues then America truly will become “one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
