Love files lawsuit for Nirvana tapes

Courtney Love, widow of Kurt Cobain, filed a lawsuit against Universal Music Group and ex-Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic requesting control of Nirvana’s recordings.

Love claims Nirvana’s contract should be void, since Geffen Records, which the band signed with in 1991, was acquired by Vivendi Universal.

Love is also in another lawsuit with her band Hole’s label.
