`Real World’ cast faces real trouble

In the first protest of its kind, 11 people were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and other offenses after demonstrating outside the new “Real World” house in Chicago.

The protesters say they were demonstrating because the show does not portray real life. They allegedly shouted at the cast members and wrote “Dork” and “What is real?” on the sidewalks outside the house.

Over a thousand at Aaliyah funeral

Family, friends and fans paid their final respects to Aaliyah Friday in Manhattan.

Her casket was carried from Campbell Funeral Home to St. Ignatius Church in a glass-sided carriage pulled by two horses.

The funeral service itself was private.Attendees included Ajy-Z, P. Diddy, Gladys Knight, Timbaland and Busta Rhymes.

Aaliyah and eight other people were killed in a plane crash six days earlier. Investigators from the Cessna Pilots Association say that the plane was overloaded with cargo. However, they are still unsure whether overloading caused the crash.

Rappers charged with swearing

Snoop Dogg and Ja Rule were charged with indecent language in Jamaica on Thursday.

According to authorities, they used swear words at the Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest, which was held in Montego Bay earlier this month.

The two will face the charges Sept. 27 in Jamaica. They will most likely be issued a fine, authorities say.
