Four College of Liberal Arts and Science faculty members at Iowa State have been named Master Teachers for using unique methods to enhance student learning.

The LAS Master Teachers are Paul Canfield, professor of physics and astronomy; Jeffrey Prater, professor of music; Valerie Sheares, assistant professor of chemistry; and David Wallace, associate professor of English.

This year’s awards recognize teachers who were successful in involving ISU undergraduates in research. The four will plan teaching methods, seminars and in-class demonstrations.
