Iowa State-Iowa moved to Nov. 24

The Iowa State-Iowa football game has been rescheduled for Nov. 24 at Jack Trice Stadium ISU athletics director Bruce Van De Velde announced on Friday.

The game has a scheduled kickoff time of 1 p.m., pending television arrangements.

The tickets for the original game scheduled for Sept. 15 will be honored on Nov. 24.

Fans will have an opportunity to exchange their tickets for another ISU football game. Refunds will also be made available and must be done by Oct. 19 at the ISU ticket office. To get a refund one must also have the original Sept. 15 game ticket.

Students will receive a $9 refund for the game if they purchased a football-only season ticket and $4 if they purchased an All-Sport ticket.

Johnson gets shot at strikeout record

Randy Johnson reportedly will start today, giving him a shot at the single-season strikeout record.

Johnson has 336 strikeouts and could make five more starts in the final 19 games giving him a chance to break Nolan Ryan’s record of 383 set in 1973.
