Grandma Mojo’s to hold auditions for comedy show

Grandma Mojo’s Moonshine Revival, a sketch/improv comedy group, will be holding auditions in the Maintenance Shop tonight at 7.

Call-backs will be Thursday at 7 p.m.

Grandma Mojo’s holds shows at the M-Shop every other Wednesday night at 10, beginning Sept. 19. Tickets are $1 at the door.

Credit cards now accepted for first day ticket sales

The Iowa State Center is now accepting credit cards on the first day of ticket sales. Mastercard, Visa and American Express will all be accepted.

In the past, the Iowa State Center only accepted cash and checks on first-day sales.

Technology has allowed credit card orders to be processed more quickly than in the past.

Aerosmith plans visit to Ames in October

Aerosmith will make a stop at Hilton Coliseum Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m. The veteran rockers are touring in support of their latest album, “Just Push Play.”

The Cult is slated to open the show.

Tickets cost $30 to $75 and go on sale Sept. 8 at 10 a.m.
