`Friends’ episode redone after attacks
Following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, many people in the entertainment industry have been forced to cancel, reschedule or revamp their events.
Even stars of the sitcom “Friends” have been affected. The entire third episode of the season was shot in an airport.
Producers decided the show needed to be revamped because it had made fun of Monica (Courteney Cox Arquette) and Chandler (Matthew Perry) for getting to the airport three hours before their flight.
After the terrorist attacks last week, it is not unexpected that travellers arrive that far in advance.
Hollywood increases security
Universal Studios tightened its security Thursday after word spread of a possible terrorist threat.
Although the report was unspecified, FBI and law enforcement officials informed Hollywood of the report they had received threatening film studios in the city.
Voters for Choice benefit canceled
Because of last week’s terrorist attacks, a Washington D.C. pro-life benefit concert has been canceled. Alanis Morissette and Blues Traveler’s John Popper were slated to play the show. The event has not been rescheduled.
