Focus should be on finding culprits
September 12, 2001
My heart sank and my deep feelings go to the families of the deceased and injured in Tuesday’s attacks. It was an unbelievable act; I still cannot believe it. Nobody can justify the killing of human beings regardless of their race, religion or anything else.
All of us should be working now to punish and bring the persons who were responsible for such an act to justice, whoever they are. I know that punishing the responsible people can’t return the beloved ones we lost – a father, a mother, a brother, a sister or a friend. It also can’t erase the horrible pictures we all saw Wednesday.
I would like to add my voice to Joel Taylor, who wrote a letter in the Daily “Can’t jump to conclusions on race.” Let us remember Oklahoma City and not point fingers at anybody. International students, myself included, are here to learn and get their degrees. They are as innocent as anybody.
