Pro-life protesters courageous

Angela Hoffmann

The up-in-arms attitude of some people around campus regarding the pro-life protests has me baffled. People have the right to express their opinions on an issue.

The protesters may be considered radical by some for their posters, but these people are courageous and dedicated individuals who are willing to spread an unpopular message.

I take to issue Feuerstein’s statement that the pro-lifers were “cramming religion down people’s throats.”

Pro-life beliefs are not necessarily tied to religion.

That’s like saying people who oppose the death penalty do so for purely religious reasons.

It is an issue of morality and values that can be developed inside or outside of a religious philosophy.

For those who are shocked by the posters of mutilated babies, let’s face it, it’s reality.

It’s a whole lot easier to endorse something if you don’t have to witness the consequences, and people should be made aware that a mutilated baby is part of the abortion process, whether or not they ever see it.

A final point of contention is the “cleansing” that the Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance is going to hold.

Cleanse what? The protesters were advocating life. Since when is that something we need to clean up after?
