What will they cut next?

What’s Next???
After the cutting of funding to the ISU Sports community, will this be the next front page article for the Daily???
Dear Engineering Students:
Along with the cutting of the men’s baseball and swim teams and due to the increase in tuition and full ride scholarships for the other student athletes, we have decided to cut the engineering program from Iowa State.
We need to keep Iowa State in the lime-light, with its football, wrestling and basketball programs.
Corporate sponsors are just not interested in sponsoring engineering majors.
We are heartbroken, and this decision will grieve our engineering students and professors deeply and leave some empty buildings such as Black Engineering, Coover, Sweeney and the new Howe hall.
Through personal donations and alumni, we’re sure we’ll be able to convert them to great courts and indoor playing fields with little or no state or federal funds.
It’s sad but just something we have to do in order to let our athletic program prosper.
After all, that’s the real, true reason 30,000 students come to this campus.
Regards,
Your Cyclone Administration
