Like all newspapers, the Iowa State Daily is in the information business.

Dan Burke, in his April 13 letter, “Freedom of speech: Use it, don’t abuse it,” and Rep. Theresa Garman seem to have forgotten the old adage that “A picture is worth a thousand words.”

The picture that accompanied the April 5 story about the abortion protest, “Surprise protest shocks viewers,” was no less startling to the senses than the one that accompanied the Peep Land story.

Both pictures added an important dimension to their respective news articles.
