Wong wrong on GSB
April 1, 2001
This Monday, I opened my Daily and wasted 5 minutes of my life reading Sam Wong’s column, “Organizations funded by students, not GSB.”
It was, in part, about the investigation into the funding of the Daily.
I will refrain from mentioning the lopsided coverage, from the Daily, of that investigation.
The first bit, about how the Government of the Student Body shouldn’t be so harsh with the Daily was not bad, but then he launched in to his usual “GSB should go away” routine; the column sank below the level of intelligence I would expect from a drunken 3-year-old autistic child.
Sam has written a few things in the Daily about how GSB is useless and does nothing.
Maybe he’s right; I must have imagined GSB going to Des Moines TWICE to fight the retroactive budget cuts.
I must have imagined the media coverage and massive letter writing campaigns that convinced the governor to line item veto the cuts to Iowa State.
