Freedom of speech has limits
March 5, 2001
In response to Jennifer Meadows’ response to my response I can only say: freedom of expression, Ms. Meadows? Apparently in your world, freedom of expression includes owning black people. As for me making a fool of myself, you’re right, I am a fool — a fool for the red, white and blue. Racists like you — spit on with your pro-Confederate ramblings. What is wrong with this country (the United States, not the Confederate States this time) is whiny little liberals who push the concept of freedom so far it loses all sense of logic. Hate speech and symbols of hate are outlawed. They incite violence. You can say whatever you want in theory, but there are and always have been limits to free speech. IYou cannot yell “fire” in a crowded movie theater, par example. But then maybe you think all those black folks should just get over all that being owned nonsense so a few crackers, yes crackers, can have the freedom to let all those black folks know they aren’t welcome down South? You asked me “If the South is horrible and the people so unintelligent, why are you proud that we fought to keep them as a part of America?” My response is this: I AM as proud of our great Northern victory over those dirty rebs as I am proud of our victory over the Nazis in World War II.
