Communist bugaboo must cease, please

Mr. Kearns writes about how bad a tax cut is because supply-side economics don’t work. Kennedy and Reagan cut taxes and government revenues doubled both times. The bureaucrats in Washington decided they needed to spend more money than they had. Anyone with a checking account knows that doesn’t work. Maybe they need to stop spending our money for sundries we do not need. If you leave the money in Washington, it will surely be spent on stupid poo-poo this country doesn’t need. Just because bureaucrats want to spend the money is no reason to leave the money in Washington. I agree the national debt is bad, but do you really think our elected officials will leave their greasy hands off that money and allocate it for debt reduction? If you believe that, you had best pull your head out of the clouds. The surplus from Medicare and Social Security will be used to pay down the debt or so they say. Why should we punish the wealthy for being wealthy? They pay the most taxes so obviously they will get the most from a tax cut. But according to you communists, anyone who doesn’t need to suck from your imagination’s large government titty is rich. In America, people must take responsibility for their actions and their money. It’s not mine or anybody else’s fault for where people end up in life. This communistic, Robin Hood idea of take from the rich and give to the poor is truly un-American.Nick Vrana
