Tom Hillers accurately reported my remarks about opening the records of the ISU Foundation in his story in the Feb. 2 Daily. Unfortunately, these remarks were placed under a heading, “Iowa Newspaper Association.” Although we have similar sentiments regarding open records, I am not a member of nor a spokesman for the association, and it should not be blamed for my comments.
