The title of Tim Paluch’s column regarding global warming prepared me for a well-written, well-documented argument for Americans to “accept the obvious and take responsibility.” While Mr. Paluch’s effort was noble, his evidence was weak. Mr. Paluch, the only evidence for global warming that you provided included a reference to flooding in Britain, an announcement from the U.N. weather agency and information from an insurance company.The flooding in Britain was apparently the worst in 300 years. Given that a similar flood occurred at least once before, wouldn’t this provide more evidence of cyclic weather patterns than to a new trend of global warming? Your second and third pieces of evidence are speculation. Please provide your “undeniable” evidence, Mr. Paluch.Christian Baum
