Am I the only person on this entire campus that has absolutely NO sympathy for Nick Johnson? I am tired of listening to people moan about the unfairness and harshness of the punishment that he received for vandalizing university property. The bottom line is that he destroyed something that didn’t belong to him. It was someone’s work, their time, their sweat. What right did he have to destroy it? I applaud Nick for accepting responsibility and not denying his actions, but that doesn’t excuse him. Brian Stillman accused the judge of destroying Nick Johnson’s life, but he is dead wrong. Nick Johnson destroyed it all by himself.
