Player of the Game
December 3, 2000
With all apologies to Angie Welle, who played a great game, Wilson gets the nod.
She played easily her best game of the year, and as Fennelly said, she “set the tempo.”
Wilson had several long passes that were all on target and usually to Welle.
The passes allowed the Cyclones to run around the Blue Demons and score fast-break points.
Wilson’s seven assists were a season high for her , and she only turned the ball over once.
Her defense was solid, as usual, as she nabbed four steals from DePaul.
She also scored 15 points for the Cyclones, who never trailed in the game.
Wilson set the pace for the Cyclones by nailing a three-pointer for the first basket of the game, and not long after, she stole a pass and went down court for an easy two.
