Player of the Game
November 30, 2000
Megan Taylor
Senior guard/forward
Taylor, despite fouling out, willed the team to a first-half lead, and the Cyclones may have lost without her.
The senior guard scored 16 points, but it was the little things that she did that made her the player-of-the-game.
Fighting for loose balls and diving on the ground allowed Taylor to show the senior leadership that the Cyclones hoped they would get from her.
“Megan may not be able to get out of bed tomorrow,” said ISU coach Bill Fennelly.
Taylor had two key assists, one to Angie Welle for a three-point play and also scored a lay-up as time expired to give the Cyclones a two-point halftime lead.
Kelly Cizek receives honorable mention for her 8-point, 10-rebound performance on “Kelly Cizek Night.”
